What's the difference between VB and beach VB ?

Can you pl. elaborate important aspects / differences / advantages of beach VB... Is it superior to normal game.... Can normal VB courts filled with sand (in non-coastal semi-arid areas) serve the purpose.. What about dimensions of beach VB court %26amp; ball. How to maintain it ?What's the difference between VB and beach VB ?
So the two main types of Volleyball are Indoor Volleyball, which is played with 6 players. Or Sand/Beach Volleyball which is typically played with 2 players.

Beach Volleyball courts you need to build, typically, about a foot deep filled with a playground sand, a smoother sand that doesn't hurt the skin as much. The net height I believe is the same, but the ball is different, as well as the court is smaller. The rules for Beach Volleyball that the AVP use, can be found here http://usavolleyball.org/content/index/405

Couple of big rules differences are, because weather is a factor in Beach, you switch sides during a game at regular intervals. A block counts as a contact.

As for skills, they are same as Indoor Volleyball, but because you have fewer people and sand isn't the easiest surface to move in, you have to work much harder. What's the difference between VB and beach VB ?
Beach court is smaller, only two plyers, harder to jump and move. In beach you need to be an alround player, no weaknesses or the opponents will find out what they are very quickly and exploit them.

The best way to keep a made court in good shape is to have plenty of beach sand and rotatile it frequently tho keep it from getting hard and stale.

this website will tell u everything u need to know bout the diffference. its a awesome website.
uhh one ur playing on a beach and the other u play on a court. and in beach vb the court is smaller and u dont need exactly 6 people like in regular volleyball
Beach volleyball, is always sand volleyball. Some things and rules you cant do in beach than you could on a regular court is, your sets arent suppost to have ANY spin what so ever. Its different for everyone, but thats a basic rule. also there is no open hand tipping. and you cannot set off of a serve, in regular volleyball you can do all of these things. i like sand personally, because i get to move around more and i love being on the court with just 2 people. :) hope this helped!
indoor vb has 6 players and beach vb usually only has two. and i think some of the rules are a little different.
beach volleyball is a lot harder. since your in the sand it is harder to run to the ball and your jumps arent as high. but i actually perfer becah volleyball it is fun to get you in shape becuase after playing beach volleyball and going back to regular volleyball you find that your jump is higher than you remebered and it actually helps your jump. also who doesnt love playing outside on the beach :)
